02 — Principles

Which data,
for what, how long.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide this website, to handle enquiries, to communicate with prospective and current clients and for the technical security and stability of the website.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1) GDPR — in particular for pre-contractual measures, to comply with legal obligations, on the basis of legitimate interests or on the basis of explicit consent. Where Swiss data protection law applies, processing is carried out in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, transparency, purpose limitation, proportionality and data security.

Retention period

We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Server log data is retained only for a limited period; enquiries submitted via the contact form or by email are retained for as long as necessary to handle the matter, for follow-up communication or for documentation purposes. Mandate-related data may be subject to longer statutory retention periods.

03 — Website

Visiting the site,
hosting, cookies.

Server log files

When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically collects technical information, including in particular:

  • IP address (generally shortened or anonymised)
  • date and time of the request
  • name and URL of the file requested
  • referrer website from which access was made
  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system
  • amount of data transferred and status messages

This data is processed in order to make the website technically available, to ensure system security and stability, to detect abuse and to analyse and remedy errors. Where the GDPR applies, such processing is based on our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting by Vercel

This website is hosted on the infrastructure of Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA („Vercel"). Vercel provides the technical infrastructure and the content delivery network through which this website is served. When you visit the website, the connection data described under „Server log files" is necessarily transmitted to Vercel's servers.

Vercel processes this data globally, in particular within the European Union and in the United States. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place between us and Vercel; for transfers to the United States, we rely — where required — on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission and on Vercel Inc.'s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For further information please refer to Vercel's privacy policy.

Cookies

This website uses only strictly necessary cookies or comparable technologies to the extent required for the basic functionality of the website — for example for language settings, security and form functionality. Analytics, tracking or marketing cookies are not used.

Should consent-based services (such as web analytics, embedded videos, maps or third-party web fonts) be introduced in the future, they will be described transparently in this privacy policy in advance and — where legally required — activated only on the basis of your consent through a consent tool.

Fonts

The fonts used are served directly via Next.js from the same server that delivers this website. No connection to external font servers — such as Google Fonts — is established.

04 — Contact

When you
write to us.

Email and telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, we will process the data you provide in order to respond to your enquiry and for the resulting communication. This may include in particular: name, email address, telephone number, company, subject, the content of your message and any further information you voluntarily provide.

Such data is processed solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry, initiating communication or — where relevant — preparing or performing an attorney-client relationship.

Contact form

If you use the contact form on this website, the data entered there (name, email address, company, subject, message) will be used exclusively to process your enquiry. Disclosure to third parties will only take place where this is necessary to handle your request, where there is a legal obligation or where you have consented.

Please do not submit sensitive or confidential information via the contact form unless this is strictly necessary. For particularly confidential matters, we recommend a direct and individually arranged channel of communication.

05 — Recipients

Who can
see your data.

Recipients of data

Within our organisation, only those individuals have access to personal data who need it for the purposes described above. In addition, we engage external service providers as processors — in particular in the areas of hosting and content delivery (Vercel Inc.), email communication, IT administration, website maintenance and security and backup services. These providers are contractually bound to comply with the applicable data protection requirements.

International data transfers

Personal data is only transferred to recipients outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area where this is necessary for the relevant purpose, where you have consented or where the legal requirements are met. Where data is transferred to a country without an adequate level of data protection — such as the United States in the context of our hosting provider Vercel — such transfers are based on appropriate safeguards, in particular the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission or corresponding certifications.

06 — Security

Technical and
organisational measures.

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or unlawful disclosure. This website is transmitted exclusively via TLS-encrypted connections (HTTPS). Both the GDPR and Swiss data protection law require a level of security appropriate to the risk, taking into account the nature of the processing and the state of the art.

No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of applicable data protection law, takes place on this website.

07 — Your rights

Access, rectification,
objection.

Where the respective statutory requirements are met, you as a data subject have in particular the right to:

  • request information about the personal data being processed
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have data erased
  • have processing restricted
  • object to processing
  • withdraw a given consent for the future
  • lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority

To exercise your rights, please contact us at the address given in the legal notice or in section 01 above.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy where legal requirements, technical circumstances or our data processing practices change. The version published on this website at any given time shall apply.
